After a few volatile weeks, I am back into the market as well.
I have sold my position in Nintendo at 59.50 and is currently trading at 62.30. I sold off my position due to the craziness in the market and hope to re-enter around 55. Wii’s continue to be stocked out everywhere go, and given how fun it is to play (Wii play, sports, metroid and carnival
games); stock also gives out a great dividend.
I entered OXPS around 23 dollars; love the margins, no debt, and double digit growth yr over yr; this company benefits from volatility and is a good takeover target from larger firms
Still in AMD and has been a major loser for me, Going to see how the launch of Barcelona before cutting my losses
Stocks im tracking: CROX, JAVA, CMG, LULU, AIRV
Also, I want some new ETF’s so will start some research now

I believe their largest customer is Nortel and given Nortel’s instability could be why people are wary. I must say given the canadian dollars strong position, it could help Nortel continue to purchase and decrease the risk of them goign out of business. Needless to say they need to diversify their customer base.
They are on the cutting edge of a new technology called FEMTOCells which help boost cell phone range in your home and apt, kinda of a cool technology that could get a boost from its parterships with Nokia.
I think i will watch this stock for a bit, and enter with a small position. Also revenue streams are very volatile as they have to recognize earnings as they release upgrades but their bookings in 10-k look pretty good.

With titos reccomendation, i checked out Airvana (AIRV). Company seems cool and growing fast in terms of revenue and size. There website had about 40 job openings mostly positioned out of India and MA. I read one review that was wary of their revenue growth stating that the majority of the sales were coming from one large cellular company exposing the company to a lot of risk. At the same time however their website boasts a variety of “selected partners” and customers. I was also impressed with the management team. Seems like there is some good leadership in place, with a lot of talent coming from Motorola. A nice variety of backgrounds and specialities gives me some confidence that these guys can drive success.
I think the stock looks interesting and could see some potential growth. But at the same time based on what i understand of their technology, im not too hot on it. Perhaps i misunderstood, but it seems that they are focusing on broadband from mobile phones, but i see the mobile market leaning more towards WiMax or wireless as an easier and cheaper solution for users- but i suppose that is more of a long term view. So in that light i think there is some upside potential in the short term, and perhapes when the time is right they will be ready to realign some of their technological focuses.
conclusion: i think ill give it a try and see where it takes me. im not 100% confident by any means. but i think its cheap enough to enter in and see where it takes me over the next 3 months.

Didn’t know about these before but there are pretty cool; read below;
but essentially it allows people to invest tax free into any investment
like, can be angel dollars, companies etc, not just stocks and stuff
Could be great for funding an incubaker project, but money cant be
withrdrawn just like regular IRA
Self-Directed Individual Retirement Account is an IRA
that requires the account
owner to make investment decisions and investments
on behalf of the retirement plan. IRS regulations
require that either a qualified trustee , or custodian
hold the IRA assets on behalf of the IRA owner.
Generally the trustee/custodian will maintain the assets and all
transaction and other records pertaining to them, file required IRS
reports, issue client statements, assist in helping clients understand
the rules and regulations pertaining to certain prohibited transactions,
and perform other administrative duties on behalf of the Self-directed
IRA owner for the life of the IRA account. Self-directed IRA accounts
are typically not limited to a select group of asset types (e.g.,
stocks, bonds, and mutual funds), and most truly self-directed IRA
custodians will permit their clients to engage in investments in most,
if not all, all of the IRS permitted investment types (an almost
unlimited array of possibilities including foreign real estate).
