need automatic sunblock?

17Jul07

I was at the beach this weekend and as usual have random burn spots on my back and chest because im not the best at applying suntan lotion. And how about reapplying? I tend to avoid this when my hands are all sandy, the last thing I want is aSun Machine sandpaper application which kills. I was thinking why we don’t have something at the end beach that helps out with this. Think human car wash. Something along the lines of an unmanned coin/dollar operated machine. If you wanted to get fancy, you could even tell them your height and basically get sprayed down with spray on lotion (example). The whole process would take about 15 secs, and you get complete coverage without using your hands and without having to ask your buddy to give you a rubdown. Just picture this image with little jets along both sides.

And for reapplications it can wash off the sand, dry off and reaaply.

At the end of day you can just do a wash, maybe even a towel boy can be ready for hand dry. Most soda machines are 2 bucks these days anyhow, so im thinking 3-4 bucks each time wont deter people from using these things.

Update: After doing some research it seems there is something like this out there, since a patent has been filed. Patent for machine.

Let me know if you have seen one, and why isn’t it at every beach??
