mobile dining

high-chairI was at family friends the other evening for dinner. In the corner I saw a child’s highchair and ideas started flowing…

The idea: what if we got rid of the dining room table and replaced all the chairs with chairs with wheels that had a built-in removable table top.

People could remove the tray from their chair, go to the buffet and fill their plates, then return to their chair and lock in their tabletop. With wheels and no table, people could easily move, to sit next to other people rather than having cross-table shouting matches. In addition if the party decided to retire to another room or part of the house, they could easily roll their way over with out worrying about having seating in the other room.

It would be great for a networking dinner, people are often tied down to their seat and their dining neighbors at a normal table. Why not let the people roam, eat, enjoy and communicate with ease?!
